Date Night Ideas in Dallas

Dallas Texas is packed full of things to do and even more awesome date night ideas for all of the Dallas Couples out there looking for something to do. Are you wanting something awesome to eat? Dallas has you covered from the hole in the wall to the fine dining experience. Art Lovers? Head down to one of the Theaters. Romance? Gondolas and Carriage Ride. Adventure? Thrill parks. Check out the list below and start making plans for you and your sweetheart.

    1. Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens – The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens are beautiful year-round. Thursday nights you can check out their Cool Thursday Concert  and on Wednesday, they are open to 8 p.m. for the summer, so pack a picnic 
    2. Pocket Sandwich Theater – Make reservations here to see some of Dallas’ best shows. From family friendly and yes popcorn tossing fun, to stand-up Improv Comody, and Late-Night Adult Fun, check out their calendar and make reservations for a night of fun. 
    3. King Spa and Water park – If you want to experience a Korean style spa, head down to King Spa and enjoy their spa rooms and even the waterpark. Better yet, book a Couples Package and enjoy a private Jacuzzi with their top package.
    4. Gondola Rides – Heading into Irving Texas to  Lake Carolyn and Mandalay Canals and enjoy a romantic Private Gondola ride. Everything from a classic ride to their exquisite dinner ride, there is something for every couple.
    5. Dallas Museum of Art –  Are you looking for something free to do? Head back into Dallas to the Dallas Museum of Art where general admission is free every day! You can also attend their Late Nights every third Friday of each month where the museum is open till Midnight.
    6. Painting with a Twist – Grab your sweetie and a bottle of wine after booking a class at Painting with a Twist in a city near you. A fun night of learning one of the painting on their line up. They also offer couples painting where the painting are connected with each-other.
    7. Wine Walk – Head over to the Bishop Arts Districts Event Calendar to check out when their next Wine Walk is being help to join others in exploring the Bishop Arts District area while enjoy wine tastings at different locations.
    8. Reunion Tower – You know the famous Skyline of Dallas and the Beautiful Ball that lights up at night? You can head up to the Observation Deck where  “470 feet up you’ll experience breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views, high-definition zoom cameras, interactive touch screens, telescopes, a free digital photo and an indoor/outdoor observation deck that lets you see for miles in any direction.”  You can also visit Five Sixty, a Wolfgang Pucks Exclusive Restaurant.
    9. Experience West End – In Dallas West end you have a plethora of options to do. Start your night out at Spaghetti Warehouse or Y.O. Steakhouse and so many others, then end the night with a romantic Carriage Ride with Circle G Carriages
    10. Kayaking – Head down to White Rock Lake and get on the lake with a single or tandem Kayak with White Rock Paddle Co.
    11. Sailing – How can you learn to sail or experience sailing in Dallas TX? Many of the area lakes offer either classes to learn or even offer captain charters.
    12. Dallas Zoo – Take a walk with the wild side at the Dallas Zoo. The zoo isn’t just for school aged kids and families, but is also a wonderful place to visit for a date.
    13. Frontiers of Flight Museum – Head down to Love Field and into the Frontiers of Flight Museum to explore over 30 different aircraft and space vehicles
    14. Sample Chocolates – Who doesn’t love chocolate? Head down to Chocolate Secrets and experience a wine and chocolate pairing, or even a Chocolate Making Class! The Cultured Cup offers tasting of more that just their delectible sweets, but coffees, teas, and drinking chocolates also. With four locations, Dude, Sweet Chocolate is also another chocolatier in the DFW not to miss. I know what I want for Christmas there.
    15. Food – There are HUNDREDS of great food in the DFW area, you need to check out these locations: Chicken ScratchSt. Martins Wine Bistro, and Cindi’s just to name a few
    16. McKinney Avenue Transit Authority – Enjoy a ride on a actual Trolley through Dallas on the MATA. The best thing about this, its free to ride! Head over to the map to see of all the interest points you can go to!
    17. Uptown Open Houses – Head up to Uptown Dallas and explore the open houses in the beautiful neighborhood!
    18. Klyde Warren Park –  One of the stops of the MATA Trolley is Klyde Warren Park. This park has so much fun and attractive things to do every day of the week.
    19. Continental Pedestrian Bridge – With the famous skyline behind this park, you have so many options of things to do and see at the Continental Bridge with the Margret Hunt Hill Bridge right beside this park.
    20. Ice Skating – You can head down to the Galleria Mall, or other great locations all over DFW.
    21. Paintball – Time to get messy and have some fun. Head out to Cousins Paintball for a fun filled action day
    22. Stay at a Hotel – Book a night at any of these hotels in Dallas for a Romantic Getaway: Omni, Renaissance , Rosewood, and Hawthorn,
    23. All About JFK – Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum is downtown and you call learn all about the shot heard around the world.
    24. Dallas Farmers Market – with the market and events at Dallas Farmers Market, you will always be able to find great foods to bring home and cook a fresh meal any time.
    25. Truck Yard – More great food finds is the Truck Yard in Dallas TX. Food Trucks rotate so you will always have something new to experience every visit.
    26. Thrills – iFly, Speedzone, and Zero Gravity,  all have something in common. The Thrills.
    27. Insync Exotics – Lions and Tigers, and Lemurs? OH MY. Insync is a little out of Dallas but features Exotic animals like lions, tigers, and yes even lemurs. Book a tour with them and help support the great work they are doing at this rescue right here in the DFW area.
    28. Shakespeare Dallas – Grab a bottle of wine and head to Shakespeare Dallas to experience, well Shakespeare.
    29. Frank Underground – “FRANK is an underground, private dinner party experience where MasterChef Season 2 finalists Jennie Kelley & Ben Starr invite you into their storied world of travel and food.” Hope on their mailing list to try and get in on this AWESOME experience.
